Sandwich Experience
Investigating what would make a unique experience for others started out with an experiment revolving around a brown bag lunch. Serving people sack lunches with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, boxed juices, fresh fruit and homemade cookies began to take on a life of its own in an organic design process. Soon after the start, there was nutella ravioli and peanut butter sushi rolls. Interactions with people led to fun ideas and intimate conversations.
Even though design can be hard to grasp and explain, when prompted correctly, everyone can design. The familiarity of food made it easy for anyone I talked to to give me great input and ideas. And everyone had ideas (even my mom, seriously, they were good).
